We got a puppy this weekend! Her name is Abbey and she's a 6 month old black lab mix. We adopted her from a shelter, so there's no telling for sure what mix she is. They thought she might have a little Mastiff or American Bulldog in her? She's such a sweetheart. Absolutely adorable and very well behaved.... and almost even potty trained! She'll definitely give us a run for our money... but I love her energy and it's so good to be welcoming the month of March tomorrow. Spring is on its way!

Congratulations!! She looks adorable. Just a warning though about American bulldogs. They can have a temperament a bit like pit-bulls, but obviously that has a lot to do with how you train her. So I would be very careful about any rough play or anything that could encourage that aggressive behavior. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/americanbulldog.htm . . . hopefully she will have the black lab temperament, he face sure looks like she will!

my sister (who used to be a vet tech) has a rescue dog that's mostly american bulldog and she's as sweet as can be. if you have any questions, let me know and i'll pass them along to her.
that's an american pitbull terrier,possibly mastiff in it also, not black lab. you can tell from the pitbull terrier paws, and its ears.
